Capablanca by Himself. Volume Two. His Best Years is the second book of the Cuban genius’s games commented on by him. It adds 65 more productions of the master to those published in Volume One , reaching 122 games found in books, magazines, newspapers, and the Internet in English, French, German, Russian, and Spanish. And there will be a Volume Three of the years of World Champion and former World Champion of Capablanca that will add (at least for now) 50 more games annotated by the master, bringing the book to a total of 172 productions. As in Volume One , we first publish the games only with Capablanca analysis, to enjoy the point of view of one of the best players (if not the best!) of all times. This is a unique opportunity to enter the mind of a genius. It is also an important collection of documents that will shed light on the real style of play of the great Cuban. Studying these games while sharing his evaluation and original way of analysis by blocks will surely lead the critical reader to question some of the intents to restrict Capablanca to one particular chess school. He not only delivered (according to historical Elo) his best performance in a competition in 1918, but he himself claimed that he was playing his best Chess in March of 1919. Capablanca also topped the historical list of Elo for one month in 1914, another month in 1915, and from 1919 to 1923, before and after his crowning as World Champion in 1921.
