Description
In this engaging novel, which takes the first step with “Corrals of people ” (Original title – Currais de Gente), we are transported to the charged and turbulent atmosphere of the 1930s. An undeniably troubled time, permeated by adversities and brutal confrontations, with highlighting the harsh and relentless drought of 1932 that devastated the State of Ceará-Brazil. The existence of this novel resulted from my firm conviction in the impact of this narrative and the imperative to shed light on episodes from our past hidden in the shadows of history. Even though it is based on the universe of fiction, the text reaches the reader inviting him to delve deeper and confront the real and tangible context of that time. The second act of this epic, entitled “Dust in the Wind” (Original title – Dust), was generated by the burning desire to unveil and bring to light an unknown that lurked in the plot of the first book. This volume not only filled a looming narrative void, but also paved the way for a big, long-awaited climax. And then we come to “Reencounter” (Original title – Reencontro). Although it was not released as an independent literary entity, it represents a deep immersion in ancestral search, discovery and reconnection with the roots that shaped us. Together, these magnificent literary pieces form the trilogy “ECOS DA SECA” (Original title: Sertão: Raízes e Redenção). On each page, the reader is guided through an emotional odyssey, where feelings alternate between the anguish of loss, the tenacity of resilience and the inextinguishable flame of hope. This trilogy is more than a literary work; is a moving testament to the resilient power of the human spirit, a celebration of our ability to rise again, regardless of the obstacles in our path. Therefore, I sincerely invite you, dear reader, to join us on this journey of discovery and reflection. Considering that the entire process of writing, editing and translating this book was carried out independently, using the DIY (Do It Yourself) approach, it is important to note a detail regarding the translation of the original Portuguese into English. As a non-native English speaker and non-professional translator, I carried out the translation with the aid of artificial intelligence tools, consequently, I recognize the possibility of linguistic errors that may have escaped my detection. Despite these potential shortcomings, I am confident that any linguistic imperfections do not diminish the essence of the original work. —- ISBN: 9798332599538
