The historical scope is about 4,500 years. The history in each stage is presented in the form of a dozen black and white pictures. Each picture is accompanied by a Chinese and English text description. In total, there are about 270 pictures in this book. Each picture drew for its story are based on the historical story in the book of “”General Knowledge of Chinese History”” published by the “”Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council””. Also few are based on the vernacular versions of some ancient books or historical materials online. The reason of using pictures in this book is for simplicity.
